Shotz Brief History

With the launch of the Energy Gel in 1995, Shotz entered the energy food market at a time when the sports nutrition sector had just discovered functional, portable and high energy foods. As a company with cutting-edge food technologists, Shotz entered this field confident that it could develop energy food that would lead the market.

In developing its own energy gel Shotz began with a simple but powerful formula that 50 years of scientific research in athletic performance had provided. Based on this, Shotz created a high energy carbohydrate food in liquid/gel form that provided fast fuel to keep the athlete energised while on the go. Endurance sports was a market that Shotz was initially developed for but over the years the market has grown to include any and every type of activity from a few minutes of high intensity activity to multi-day events.

With sporting teams at the highest international level to the weekend warrior Shotz is finding its way across a diverse range of activities and markets.

The Shotz Electrolyte Tablet has been a work in progress for the past 3 years which has seen each design and feature from the formulation to the taste, effectiveness and portability tested and re-tested to finally culminate in a product that sets it apart from all other electrolyte replacement products.
